Today’s episode of Nothing But Net with Debbie Antonelli Podcast we were joined by Gina Conti, senior point guard for Wake Forest Women’s Basketball. 
 
Gina and Debbie talk about what it would mean for this team to be the one that breaks the multi-decade long streak of no NCAA Tournament appearances for Wake Forest. It’s been since 1988.

Gina also talks about her development as a player from her freshman year to now. She credits the upgraded facilities on Wake Forest’s campus as having a huge impact on that development.
 
Gina talks about having a “next play” mentality to push her through her struggles during the early years of her college career. 
 
She also talks about her leadership skills and how they have blossomed by stepping out of her comfort zone and getting to know her teammates. Knowing her Who, When and Where as a good point guard. 
 
Gina also tells Debbie about her plans after college. She would love to play basketball at the professional level but from there she would love to work with Nike and develop her own clothing line of street wear, something that would be unique and different and allow people to be their authentic selves. She also would love to get into coaching.
